Shoveling by Moonlight

At sunset, my neighbors' holiday lights cast an eerie glow from beneath the new snow. Like four miniature suns, they formed part of an alien wintry landscape. After my walk, I finished shoveling by moonlight.

Gorgeous magical shot. We don't usually get snow like we've had this week, so my shovelling was done in the sun of Friday morning with the cameraderie of the neighbours.

I love it! Almost looks like a landscape, with different phases of the moon....

Hi, Annie. Thanks so much! I liked finding those muted lights made mysterious by the snow.

Thank you, Vesper de Vil. Yes, the eye interprets this as a landscape, warping the scale. Somehow this tiny scene becomes a grander, stranger world. Happy holidays to all!
